GREAT GAME! However- it freezes during shooting. Did I win? I'm pretty sure I shot the last boss...

Very nice retro graphics. LOVE this kind of game, and even better, I love that you were inspired by many of the games I played as a kid. ;) Also the movies and shows! Did you ever see The Virginian... or The Devil's Disciple? The Devil's Disciple is some of Kirk Douglas' best work. Also you mentioned Zork. ;) I prefer the Zork Trilogy, and Zork Nemesis. Also Doctor Livingstone.. Adventure ( I think... was it the one with the bell book and candles and the sandbar?) etc. Encahnter was also a fun one. Kudos man. Although you did spell sicced wrong. ;)

Emptygoddess responds:

The Zork Trilogy and Doctor Livingstone adventure or whatever it's called are great! What did i spell wrong? Could you e-mail me where that was.

Never watched the Devil's Disciple, i'll add it to my list.

nice game (I HEARD YOU PUT IN AXIOM VERGE REFERENCES! YESSSSS) but get someone to proofread your scripts.

;)

gamesbynoe responds:

Thank you. This game is inspired by Metroid and Axiom.

OH, this is so minimalist, it's more minimalist than Zork! I likies. What did you make this with?????

CaptainJackTHAC0 responds:

Glad you like!! :D

I made it with Twine, it's a free program and pretty easy to use: twinery.org

I highly recommend it if you wanna make text games!

Get someone to proofread your scripts. Ex. 'I seen' is not right.

nice try though. a bit watery, but still fair.

ZeroDigitZ responds:

Thanks for the review, and I definitely need to improve on my grammatical errors. I will make sure to proofread, and allow someone else to look over my work before I publish my next project.

Well, all I know is, if Droney works on anything it's gonna be GOOD. You guys rock so hard. Can't wait to play the big game.

FatDogGames responds:

Well Drone Locker was our collaborator, and I must say - his input and experience in Game Dev and horror genre was and is beyond measurable! :D

it's always better to leave out as much text as possible for complete immersion. we know it's a ladder. we know we go left or right, forward or back. Take a lesson from Submachine, here. Nice inventory though. Text is fine there. Clicking on something for text is also fine, but usually using that sparingly adds greater value. this isn't Planescape Torment. ;)

You shouldn't have included this in the game jam if there was more story to be told. it could have been great, but instead? you cut when you should have given up the contest in order to fully tell the story. ;) never let a deadline deny the quality your project deserves. Deadlines will always be there. But once you've told your story, it is no longer yours and can never be retold. Whatever comes after will always be separate.;)

Criobite responds:

I suppose that's one way to look at it. And I definitely agree about the text. :)

aw, music isn't playing for meee. ;(

ZeroDigitZ responds:

I apologize about the audio issues. Try a different web browser like chrome or firefox to see if the issue persists.

ahh, am stuck at the part when you've got all the evidence but still have to make the 'dead'uctions. heheh. Can't seem to figure out the combination that makes the game go forward. must be missing something... grrr. ;) this is fun tho'.

Muja responds:

Thank you, I'm glad you liked the game!
If you're still stuck at that part, you could check a video walkthrough of my game on youtube, at the following link:

If you skip to the end of the video, you should see how that guy solved the case ;)

wut? you can't go walking into other people's homes? BUTTTTT they have the BEST LOOT! waaah

;)

Slyck responds:

Best loot, indeed! That's why they protect it! ;)

One hundred meters? That ought to keep the cows guessing.
